COURSE DESCRIPTION

OUM KALTHOUM CHOREOGRAPHY COURSE / OPTIONAL PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY

Following on from term three we continue our Oum Kalthoum journey! Egypt’s most iconic singer! In this course we’ll study her classic ‘Alf Leyla Wa Leyla’, the musicality, the meaning and the story behind the music. We’ll also address ‘Classical’ style Belly Dance through Reda technique. This course will give students some ‘must know’ information in the study of Belly Dance to really solidify their knowledge. This choreography will be a beautiful final piece to showcase at our last party event of the year, the Global Dance Collective End of Year Party. This will be an optional performance opportunity on the 10th of December.
